Hardwood Flooring

When it comes to cleaning a hardwood floor, it’s best to clean it regularly so that it maintains its shine and polish. To get rid of dust or loose dirt you can run a dust mop over the top of the surface to avoid any scratching or damages to the top. Then to get rid of mud or any stains, mop the surface with a recommended liquid floor cleaner or you can make your own using four cups of warm water and a few drops of castile or dish soap.

Carpet

To keep your carpet clean and looking brand new, daily vacuuming is perfect to get rid of dust and loose dirt. Every now and then it is recommended to perform a deep clean scrub to ensure that any dirt and debris down in the carpet is cleaned and removed. For that deep scrub, using a steam cleaner filled with hot water and the proper cleaning solution will do the trick. For any stains, make sure to always blot them so that you do not spread the stain deeper into the carpet.

Laminate

The durability of laminate flooring makes maintenance easy. To get rid of any dry dust and debris, use a broom, dust mop, or vacuum to easily pick them up. One key thing to remember when it comes to laminate is to never use any steam cleaners or wet mops. The excessive moisture can make To remove any stains or spills use a damp cloth and quickly wipe them up. To periodically clean your laminate flooring, always use a laminate approved cleaner. That way you get a deep clean without worrying about any damage.

Vinyl

Vinyl flooring is known for its ability to withstand a lot of daily wear and tear. To remove any loose dust or hair, use a vacuum or a dust mop. When it comes to stains, make sure to clean them up immediately as with any other flooring option. Clean the vinyl floor regularly with a wet mop and an appropriate cleaning solution.

Ceramic

Tile floors should be cleaned at least once or twice a week. Thoroughly sweep and vacuum to rid of any dust or debris. To remove any dirt from the grout, use a soft bristle brush to really get in there and scrub it out. Ceramic can be cleaned with warm water and a few drops of dish soap. Make sure to frequently change out the water to avoid any dirt streaks on your tile.
